Senior Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced accounting professional to fill this key role.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance. This position requires working closely with the finance team to ensure accurate bookkeeping, financial analysis, and timely reporting.

This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, preparing and maintaining financial records, reconciling bank statements, invoices, and expense reports, as well as assisting in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reporting processes.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal controls, collaborating with cross-functional teams for financial data and reporting accuracy, handling ad-hoc accounting tasks, and providing support during audits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger on a daily basis.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in accordance with US accounting standards.
  • Reconcile bank statements, invoices, and expense reports to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reporting processes to ensure timely completion.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls to minimize risk.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial data and reporting accuracy.
  • Handle ad-hoc accounting tasks and provide support during audits to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Yardi, SAP, or similar).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience working with US-based clients or companies.
  • Understanding of tax regulations and compliance standards.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
