Job Title: Experienced Researcher


This is an exciting opportunity for a diligent researcher to join our team. As a title searcher, you will be responsible for conducting extensive research and furnishing accurate final deliverables.

  • ">
  • Research vesting title, surface title, or mineral title using online resources (including production history when required)
  • Communicate with Field Agents regarding needed research to cover gaps, Probates, District Clerk, etc.
  • Examine documents provided by Field Agents.
  • Enter required data into CityVerse to generate necessary reports or use client-provided program to create reports.
  • Prepare flowcharts, Plats & Deed Plots.
  • Review other agents' work & make corrections when required.
  • Prepare final deliverable to be sent to the client.
  • Collaborate well with others and function as part of a team to accomplish a common goal.
  • Follow specific instructions regarding CityVerse and other software.
  • Perform title obligations in a manner consistent with title protocol directions.
  • Other duties as assigned.">

  • ">
  • Preferably a Bachelor's degree in History, Political Science, Research, or a related field.
  • Preferably 3 to 5 years strong background in conducting extensive research and a keen attention to detail.
  • Sufficient knowledge to display the ability to quickly access online records and review documents to complete a chain of titles.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Adobe Acrobat Pro for creating and organizing ownership timelines.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaborate fully as a team player.
  • Ability to pay close attention to details, and present good planning, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily.
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance as per work schedule agreed with manager (may require working an adjusted work schedule based on project assigned and work overtime if warranted).
  • Ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations and Company policies and procedures.">

  • Highly knowledgeable in Oil & Gas Mineral Title and Surface Title requisites in the various states Percheron operates.
  • Background in working with U.S.-based companies, particularly in the Oil and Gas industry, is highly valued.
  • Having experience as a Title Agent or with land title research is a plus.">
