Job Overview">

The Senior Payroll Specialist is responsible for conducting the payroll engagement in accordance with the approved engagement plan and company standards. This involves managing all phases of the engagement, keeping the engagement manager and partner informed of progress, and ensuring that deadlines are met.

  • Administrative Functions:
    • ">
    • Comply with company administrative processes, policies, and procedures.">
    • Complete monitoring and surveys in a timely manner.">
    • Submit accurate time reports in a timely manner.">
    • Ensure confidentiality of engagement and maintain strict confidentiality at all times.">

  • Engagement Management:
    • ">
    • Understand client business and industry sufficiently to perform and manage the job.">
    • Have knowledge and understanding of payroll principles, taxation, and relevant laws.">
    • Demonstrate ability to make effective use of job-related tools such as payroll systems and government agency portals.">
    • Coordinate engagement requirements with the team and the client.">
    • Communicate on a timely basis fieldwork-related issues and problems, suggesting possible courses of action.">
    • Validate engagement findings and discuss with the client.">
    • Produce deliverables that are always accurate and complete.">
    • Prepare and maintain a calendar of deliverables, meeting deadlines and agreed turn-around times.">

  • People Management:
    • ">
    • Provide on-the-job training to Payroll Specialists during every engagement.">
    • Be a good role model, providing motivation and guidance to Payroll Specialists for them to attain their full potential as professionals.">
    • Provide timely feedback to Payroll Specialists about their job performance.">
    • Lead coaching activities.">
    • Participate in annual performance review process through deliberations on the overall performance of Payroll Specialists.">

  • Qualifications:
    • ">
    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accountancy, Banking or equivalent.">
    • At least 5 years of relevant work experience.">
    • Well-developed communication skills.">
    • Interpersonal skills and positive work attitude.">
    • Knowledge in Microsoft Excel is needed.">
    • Ability to adjust to multiple engagement managers.">
