Job Overview

The Tax and Accounting Associate is a vital role that supports clients with their tax and accounting needs. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax laws.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interacting with clients to address inquiries, concerns, and issues related to taxation and accounting.
  • Maintaining accurate and compliant records of client accounts, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Staying up-to-date with tax laws and regulations, providing expert guidance and advice to clients.
  • Assisting clients in meeting tax and compliance requirements to minimize risks.
  • Managing bookkeeping tasks, including payables, receivables, and petty cash maintenance.
  • Calculating taxes owed by accurately applying tax codes and regulations.
  • Preparing tax returns for individuals and small businesses, handling complex cases with ease.
  • Helping clients maximize eligible benefits by strategically leveraging federal, state, and local tax codes.
  • Identifying deductions and tax credits to minimize client tax liabilities.
  • Overseeing VAT and Corporate Tax (CT) registration requirements and thresholds.
  • Reviewing and analyzing financial records, including income statements and expenditure documentation.
  • Conducting client interviews to understand financial situations comprehensively.
  • Verifying the accuracy of past tax returns and ensuring records are consistently reconciled.
Requirements:
  • ACCA/ CA / CPA /CMA qualification or pursuing.
  • 1-2 years of work experience in an accounting firm.
  • Excellent knowledge of Accounts Payable and Receivable.
  • Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
