Senior Accounting Professional

We are seeking an accomplished professional to fill the position of Accountant-CPA.

Our ideal candidate will have a solid background in financial operations, with a focus on revenue accounting and automation. They will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing accurate reports, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This role involves a combination of routine accounts receivable functions, payroll processing, accounts payable support, general ledger maintenance, and active participation in special projects.

The successful candidate will possess strong analytical abilities and a solid understanding of accounting principles. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts in compliance with US GAAP.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations.
• Perform month-end close activities, including reconciliations, journal entry postings, and accurate, organized reporting.
• Process monthly revenue tasks, including reconciliations, posting of entries, and resolving discrepancies.
• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits and assist auditors as needed.
• Assist in the preparation and filing of annual tax returns.
• Conduct financial analysis and provide insights and recommendations based on financial data.
• Support accounts receivable tasks, including contract uploads, billing, invoicing, and cash application.
• Manage customer relationships and resolve billing issues.
• Process monthly payroll activities, including payroll runs and payroll entries.
• Assist with investor and bank reporting.
• Manage emails effectively within Zendesk.
• Know how to manage the project management tool in a timely and proactive manner.
• Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Perform ad hoc tasks, financial analysis, and process improvement projects as needed.

To be considered for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field (CPA preferred). You should also have a minimum of 3 years of practical experience in accounts receivable, payroll processing, accounts payable, and month-end close procedures. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting is essential, as well as knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition standards. Experience working with US-based SaaS companies is a plus.

We are looking for professionals who are proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero), Google Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. The ideal candidate will be proactive, responsible, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
