Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, network devices, and software applications within the telecommunications environment.
  • Monitor system performance, identify issues, and troubleshoot to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform regular backups, data integrity checks, and disaster recovery measures to prevent service disruptions.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in line with industry-specific compliance and security standards.
  • Provide prompt technical support and resolution for user inquiries and technical issues related to telecommunications systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and enforce IT policies and procedures.
  • Conduct system audits to protect against unauthorized access and data breach, considering telco-specific vulnerabilities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations and troubleshooting steps.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience with CISCO Unified Communications Manager.
  • Experience in desktop and network administration, in addition to Cisco UC.
  • Preferably an all-round IT Administrator with a strong background in telecommunications.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role within the telecommunications industry.
  • Strong knowledge of telecommunications-specific systems and protocols.
  • Experience with telecommunications-specific equipment and technologies, such as PBX systems, VoIP, and SIP.
  • Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting network infrastructure tailored for telecommunications, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Familiarity with telecommunications-specific software applications, billing systems, and customer management platforms.
  • Solid understanding of system security principles and best practices in the telecommunications industry.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively collaborate with the team.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced telecom environment.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent.
