Compliance Specialist Role

This position is part of the Global Regulatory Affairs Office, which oversees risk management and controls, remediation of regulatory and audit findings, and administration of regulatory affairs.


The ideal candidate will have a track record of project management, strong compliance risk and risk management experience, and working with diverse cross-functional teams and stakeholders across organisation.


Responsibilities:

  • Support definition, execution and embeddedness of the Compliance Risk Assessment, Metric and Reporting workstreams.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create effective and sustainable technology and data led solutions for managing compliance and legal risk.
  • Develop and implement capabilities to enable data collection, interpretation, trend and patterns identification, and analysis.
  • Manage deliverables with a forward-looking mindset and proactively anticipate potential issues.
  • Effectively share information to drive collaboration and joint approach to help drive One Northern Strategy.
  • Help shape best practices, standards, and toolkit to strengthen our capabilities around compliance and legal risk.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance matters.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing or supporting development of risk metrics, reports, and dashboards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, organisational skills, and time management skills.
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to establish trust-based relationships and lead stakeholders towards common objectives.
  • Experience in drafting and presenting information effectively.
