Finance Systems Automation Engineer Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Full-time Finance Systems Automation Engineer to join our team. As a techno-functional expert, you'll play a crucial role in implementing and optimizing our financial systems, with a strong focus on NetSuite.

Responsibilities will include analyzing system issues, triaging bugs, and partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions. You'll be responsible for the full lifecycle of system improvements, from gathering business requirements to designing solutions, configuration, scripting, testing, and continuous support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Closely collaborate with integration and automation teams to automate key financial processes and workflows.
  • Proactively interview business users to identify opportunities for automation and propose solutions that increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Deep dive into system processes to understand, document, and propose optimizations.
  • Work with integration APIs to build and manage automated data flows between systems.
  • Research and analyze available market AI solutions to identify opportunities, and then analyze and propose solutions that can benefit the organization.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information & Computer Science or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience implementing, configuring, customizing, developing and integrating one or more Enterprise applications or SaaS software.
  • Good functional and configuration level understanding of ERP System Administration, Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Invoicing, Revenue Recognition, Taxation, Customer Billing etc.
  • Proficient in SQL, JavaScript, and data mapping concepts.
  • Candidates must have experience in NetSuite scripting and development.
  • Experience with building web services integrations (REST/SOAP).
  • Experience with integration APIs is essential for this role.
  • Proven ability to perform research and analysis on new technologies, including AI solutions.
  • Knowledge of automation tools such as UiPath or RPA platforms is a bonus.
  • Experience with system integration tools (e.g., Dell Boomi, Celigo) is a plus.
  • Proven ability to learn complex, distributed systems quickly and thoroughly.
  • Document complex systems, processes, events and architectures.
  • Must be customer centric and have the interpersonal skills necessary to manage business and technology relationships.
  • Must be a self-starter, deal with ambiguity and thrive in a rapidly changing business environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbally) with both technical and non-technical parties.
