Senior Marine Geotechnical Expert

A senior-level geotechnical expert is required to provide authoritative engineering leadership for all aspects of a transformative marine infrastructure project.

The role involves designing, overseeing, and interpreting advanced geotechnical site investigations, including offshore boreholes, cone penetration tests (CPT), and laboratory testing programs.

  • Provide authoritative geotechnical engineering guidance for the entire project lifecycle, from tender analysis through to construction support.
  • Design and oversee complex analyses for deep foundations (pile design/analysis), slope stability of dredged channels and underwater embankments, soil-structure interaction, settlement, and seismic liquefaction potential.
  • Develop innovative ground improvement techniques and foundation solutions tailored to challenging marine environments.
  • Prepare comprehensive geotechnical design reports, documentation, and tender submissions.
  • Collaborate closely with structural engineers and designers to integrate geotechnical considerations into the overall project strategy.

This senior-level position requires a minimum of 15 years' experience in geotechnical engineering, with at least 10 years focused on large-scale marine construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of geotechnical design and analysis for deep foundations in marine environments, as well as expertise in geotechnical analysis software.

A Bachelor's degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering is mandatory, while a Master's or PhD is highly preferred. Exceptional communication skills are essential, enabling the successful candidate to articulate complex geotechnical concepts to non-specialists and write detailed technical reports.
