Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to lead the development of our data infrastructure.

About the Role:

  • The successful candidate will design, build, and maintain large-scale data pipelines and systems that support our business operations.
  • Responsibilities include creating performant batch and streaming data pipelines, developing reliable and scalable data warehousing solutions, and building robust cloud-based systems using Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • The ideal candidate will have experience with data engineering, Python, SQL, and related technologies such as AWS, Snowflake, Kubernetes, and Airflow.
  • A strong background in mentoring and leading junior engineers is also essential.

Key Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of work experience in data engineering or similar.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related technical field.
  • Proficiency in Python with at least one data manipulation framework and SQL; knowledge of other languages is advantageous.
  • Experience with REST APIs and building scalable API data platform.
  • Experience with AWS, Snowflake, Kubernetes, and Airflow.
  • Comfortable with Linux and command line operations.
  • Understanding of ETL processes and event streaming technologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
