Data Engineering Expert

Responsibilities
  1. We are looking for someone to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using cloud-based services.
  2. This role requires a strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and Bash, as well as experience with automation tools.
  3. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing and optimizing relational databases to support business needs.
  4. Additionally, they will ensure high-quality data through validation, monitoring, and governance best practices.
  5. They will also support business users by ensuring data is structured and accessible in reporting tools like Tableau or Metabase.
  6. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with AWS services such as Glue, S3, Lambda, and RDS.
  7. Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code tools would be an added advantage.
Requirements
  • Strong background in cloud-based data engineering.
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies and version control using Git.
  • Familiarity with ETL/ELT best practices and experience building data pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with data visualisation and BI tools.
  • Knowledge of security and governance principles.
Desirable Skills
  • Familiarity with machine learning technologies.
  • Experience working in distributed systems and containerization.
