Job Opportunity

As a Tax Professional, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of tax returns for clients. Key responsibilities include preparing personal and business tax returns, coordinating document collection, bookkeeping, research, reconciliation, and budgeting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare tax returns using firm templates and procedures.
  • Conduct research on laws and regulations prior to submitting returns to reviewers.
  • Provide accurate and complete returns to avoid open items and ensure timely submission.
  • Perform external bookkeeping tasks, including adjusting balance sheets and providing QuickBooks support.
  • Review and update monthly and quarterly bookkeeping, prepare W-2s, W-3s, 1099, and 1096 forms as needed.
  • Adhere to firm policies and procedures, enter time in practice daily.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance-related field.
  • Proficient in tax and accounting software/tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, QuickBooks, CCH Access/ProFX Tax, Intelliconnect Tax Research, Intelliforms, Tax Tools, CFS Payroll, Practice Management Time Entry, Accounting Research, PFX Tax Planning, Proseries Tax Planner.
  • Licensed as a certified public accountant is beneficial.
  • Excellent grasp of Microsoft applications, verbal and written communication skills, aptitude in data management, analytics, and reporting preparation.
  • Ability to function independently and autonomously.
