Regional Volunteer Coordinator Job Description

This role is a key member of the Global Volunteer Management team, reporting directly to the Regional Volunteer Manager. The successful candidate will support the management and engagement of current and new volunteers within assigned countries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with host country staff and program operations to determine volunteer team roles and placement needs.
  • Develop and implement strategies for international volunteer placement in partner and program countries.
  • Manage all aspects of volunteer placement, including logistics, preparation, and coordination with local and international teams.
  • Ensure that all volunteer documentation is complete and up-to-date, and that credentialing processes are handled efficiently.
  • Monitor and assess volunteer performance, escalating any issues to relevant staff members.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, program management, project management, non-profit studies, international studies, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in volunteer coordination, customer service, or project management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to work autonomously and take initiative when needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, with experience working in an international NGO context preferred.
