Application Support Operations Leader

At Lewis Glanz Consulting, we are seeking an experienced Application Support Operations Leader to drive the smooth transition of application features from development to production environments. This key role will be responsible for leading continuous improvement initiatives and optimizing business application service operations.

The ideal candidate will have more than 5-10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in technology and/or financial industry. A degree in technology, software engineering or a related quantitative field is required. Proficiency in relational databases such as SQL Server/PostgresDB and experience in cloud services like AWS (certification is a plus) are highly valued.

The successful applicant will also possess strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to see the big picture and think through cause-and-effect relationships that can create change. They will have proven ability to balance and prioritize multiple operations/projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.

As a seasoned professional, you will be proficient in programming languages such as Java and/or Python and have experience with incident and problem management. Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools like Qlik and Snowflake is a plus. You will also be proficient in collaboration and project tools like Jira, Confluence.

We are looking for someone who has gained experience on at least one common Enterprise Agile Framework e.g., Kanban, SAFe, SCRUM, etc. (certification is a plus). The ideal candidate will be able to confidently interact with business users, possess excellent communication skills and a customer-centric approach. Very good language skills in English (written/oral) are essential.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead small to mid-sized projects related to operations and develop the Operations Enablement service catalogue to further improve service delivery. If you have knowledge about private markets, it would be an advantage.
