Editorial Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Editorial Assistant to refine and enhance blog content, ensuring it meets high standards for quality, accuracy, and client alignment. If you're a detail-oriented language lover with an understanding of SEO and AP style, you'll thrive in this role.

As an Editorial Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to edit AI-generated blog posts for clarity, coherence, tone, and factual accuracy. You will also integrate relevant reference links and anchor text to improve SEO performance and user experience.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Edit 3-4 articles per hour while maintaining accuracy and quality.
  • Strategically add relevant reference links and anchor text to improve SEO performance and user experience.
  • Ensure all client-specific discussions, branding, and messaging are appropriately and consistently represented.
  • Conduct thorough proofreading to eliminate any grammatical errors, typos, and punctuation mistakes.
Requirements
  • Proven editorial background: extensive experience in editing and proofreading various types of content.
  • AP Style Proficiency: strong understanding and application of Associated Press (AP) style guidelines is ideal.
  • SEO Knowledge: familiarity with basic SEO principles, including keyword integration, linking strategies, and on-page optimization.
  • Exceptional attention to detail: a meticulous eye for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and factual accuracy.
  • Strong language skills: a genuine passion for language and a natural wordsmithing ability.
  • Software proficiency: must be proficient with Grammarly.
