Educational Support Specialist
Job Description:We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Educational Support Specialist. This remote position offers a range of benefits, including paid time off.
In this role, you will be responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll for employees in multiple locations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness. You will use ADP payroll software to manage payroll data, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, overtime, and deductions.
You will maintain accurate employee records, ensuring payroll-related data is current. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws, including tax withholdings, benefits deductions, and wage garnishments.
Other key responsibilities include preparing and filing payroll taxes and related filings, generating payroll reports, tracking hours, overtime, PTO, and resolving discrepancies.
You will also assist with audits and maintain documentation for internal and external audits. Furthermore, you will support employees with payroll questions, deductions, and issues.
This is a fully remote position that requires strong attention to detail and accuracy. You must have excellent organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
A strong communication skillset is essential for this role, as you will be interacting with employees and other departments on a regular basis.

Requirements:- At least 3 years of payroll experience, with expertise in ADP.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll processing in the US and California, including federal and state tax regulations.
- Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills for employee inquiries and issue resolution.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies.
- Team player with collaborative problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and general ledger accounting.
- Payroll certification (CPP) or related credentials.
