Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. As a Construction Estimator, you will play a key role in analyzing drawings, specifications, and documents for construction project estimates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review architectural and engineering drawings, project plans, and specifications to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor work, taking into account historical data and pricing trends.
  • Analyze bids from subcontractors and vendors to identify potential risks and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Maintain a database of unit costs, productivity rates, and supplier pricing to inform estimate development.
  • Participate in bid reviews and risk analysis discussions to ensure the best possible outcomes for projects.
  • Coordinate with project managers to transition awarded projects into production smoothly.
  • Assist in value engineering and cost-saving strategies to optimize project profitability.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all estimates, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Construction Estimator (3+ years preferred).
  • Experience with estimating in construction, including proficiency with estimating software.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations, as well as excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
