Remote Healthcare Support Specialist Opportunity

The role of a Remote Healthcare Support Specialist requires an individual to possess exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. A solid understanding of medical terminologies and practices is also essential.

  • Key Responsibilities Include:
  1. Documenting new patient and referral intake in electronic health records (EHR) systems
  2. Managing appointment bookings, cancellations, and rescheduling for patients and healthcare providers
  3. Inputting patient information, medical records, and billing data into EHR systems
  4. Assisting with processing insurance claims, verifying patient insurance information, and handling billing inquiries and concerns
  5. Providing support and guidance to patients via phone or email regarding their queries and directing them to the appropriate healthcare professional when necessary
  6. Analyzing healthcare data, preparing reports, and maintaining accurate records
  7. Ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
  8. Coordinating the sending of medical records to various departments, healthcare providers, and professionals as directed by the Managing Physician

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a medical field or a related industry
  • At least 1-year experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal (C1 level)
  • Solid understanding of medical terminologies and practices
  • Proficiency in EHR/EMR systems and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
  • Understanding of healthcare privacy regulations
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Tech-savviness and familiarity with current technologies
  • Able to work flexible hours, including night shifts
