About the Job

Speechify is seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join its Data Infrastructure team. This role involves building and maintaining all backend services, including payments, analytics, subscriptions, new products, text to speech, and external APIs.

The ideal candidate will be able to think strategically, work in fast-paced environments, and make product decisions that delight users. They should also have experience building great user experiences and be passionate about making a significant impact in a revolutionary industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable backend services using cloud infrastructure
  • Collaborate with Scientists to shift the cost/throughput/quality frontier of data collection and processing
  • Craft the dataset roadmap to power Speechify's next-generation consumer and enterprise products
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of industry experience in software development
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python and bash in Linux environments
  • Experience with Docker and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts
  • Cloud provider experience, preferably Google Cloud Platform
  • Web crawler and large-scale data processing workflow experience a plus
