Front Desk Representative

At The Excelsior Hotel, we are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Front Office Agent to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional guest service by greeting and checking in guests, ensuring all necessary information is collected and entered into our computer system.
- Manage cash and credit card transactions, balancing the cash drawer at the end of each shift.
- Coordinate guest reservations, ensuring rooms are properly assigned and any changes are communicated to guests.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries and complaints, escalating issues to the appropriate manager as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of hotel amenities, local attractions, and restaurants to assist guests with their needs.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; a college degree in hospitality or a related field is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to remain professional and courteous even in challenging situations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in computer programs and the ability to learn new software quickly.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and independently as needed.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Prior experience in a hotel front desk or customer service role is preferred.
