Duties and ResponsibilitiesGreet guests and check them into their rooms, ensuring that all required information is collected and entered into the hotel’s computer systemHandle cash and credit card transactions, and balance the cash drawer at the end of each shiftManage guest reservations, ensuring that all rooms are properly assigned and that any changes to reservations are communicated to guestsAnswer guest inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally, escalating any issues to the appropriate manager as neededCommunicate with housekeeping staff to ensure that rooms are cleaned and ready for new guests in a timely mannerMaintain knowledge of hotel amenities, local attractions, and restaurants to assist guests with their needsGuest ServiceDemonstrates a commitment to guest service by responding promptly to guest needs with an interest and concern in satisfying every guest.Develops added value customer service programs regarding Front office servicesCan communicate to guests about hotel promotions, local attractions and points of interest.Job SpecificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent; college degree in hospitality or related field is a plusStrong customer service skills, with the ability to remain professional and courteous even in challenging situationsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenProficiency in computer programs and the ability to learn new software quicklyAbility to work well in a team environment and independently as needed.Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidaysPrior experience in a hotel front desk or customer service role is preferred.
