Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled Bookkeeper with experience in managing day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll processing. They will have excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, as well as proficiency in MYOB.

This is a full-time role that requires the ability to work independently and handle sensitive information with confidentiality. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining financial stability and supporting decision-making by providing accurate financial data to management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • General Accounting: Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll processing, Rent Roll/property Accounts Payable and Receivable
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements and cash flow forecasts
  • Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliation of company bank accounts and credit cards
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized financial records, ensuring they are compliant with industry standards and regulations
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with Australian taxation laws
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with senior management to prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts
  • Financial Advice: Provide financial insights to management to help with business decisions, cost control, and profitability
Requirements:
  • Proven Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar financial role
  • Strong Understanding: Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency: Proficiency in MYOB - A MUST
  • Excellent Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Able to Work Independently: Ability to work independently and handle sensitive information with confidentiality
