Job Title:

Data Architect - Business Intelligence

About the Role:

The Data Architect is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining a robust Looker Semantic Layer to support business intelligence needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop data models, explores and dashboards using LookML to meet business intelligence requirements.
  • Optimize LookML code for performance, scalability and efficient data processing.
  • Implement complex data transformations, calculations and aggregations using LookML.
  • Maintain data consistency, accuracy and integrity across all Looker assets.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Looker, including LookML development, dashboard creation and data visualization.
  • Proficiency in LookML for building and maintaining models, explores and dashboards.
  • Strong understanding of data visualization principles and experience in creating user-friendly interactive dashboards.
  • Familiarity with relational databases such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL.
  • Solid understanding of BI data architecture, data warehousing concepts and data modeling.
Additional Qualifications:
  • Fundamental knowledge of Agile Methodology or other project management methodologies.
  • Experience in project scoping, planning and management is beneficial.
  • Willingness to work remotely on a day shift under an initial 6-month contract with possibility of extension.
  • Availability to start immediately is preferred.
