Financial Operations Assistant

ACCPRO International is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Operations Assistant to join our team. This role will play a crucial part in supporting the company's financial functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.
Job Summary:
The Financial Operations Assistant will be responsible for various tasks, including data entry, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliation, documentation, and assistance with month-end procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and concepts, excellent organizational and time management skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Entry: Accurately enter financial data into accounting software or spreadsheets, including invoices, expense reports, journal entries, and other transactions.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Assist in processing accounts payable by verifying invoices, obtaining necessary approvals, and preparing payments; aid in accounts receivable functions by generating customer invoices, recording payments, and following up on overdue accounts.
- Reconciliation: Assist in bank reconciliation processes by comparing bank statements with general ledger records to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Documentation and Filing: Organize and maintain financial records, including invoices, receipts, and vendor contracts, in both electronic and physical filing systems.
- Assistance with Month-End Procedures: Support month-end closing activities by preparing adjusting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial reporting as needed.
- Expense Management: Assist in tracking and categorizing business expenses, including employee reimbursements and company credit card transactions.
- Communication and Coordination: Communicate effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders to obtain necessary information and documentation.
Requirements:
- College Graduate with additional education in accounting or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in an administrative or clerical role, preferably in a finance or accounting department.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Basics knowledge of accounting principles and concepts.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Work Setup and Schedule:
The successful candidate will work onsite at one of our locations (Makati, Cebu, Davao) with a regular working schedule of 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. A competitive salary of $35,000 - $45,000 per year will be offered based on qualifications and experience.
