Job Summary

The role of Global Credit Lead is a challenging opportunity to lead the credit assessment process globally, mitigate credit risk, and ensure compliance with credit policies and procedures.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Spearhead global credit policy development and implementation to drive business growth while minimizing risk.
  • Conduct thorough credit checks on customer applications, analyzing financial data and industry trends to make informed decisions.
  • Develop and enforce robust credit limits based on rigorous risk assessments, ensuring the organization's exposure is managed effectively.
  • Oversee daily operations, including order review, account periodic review, credit limit approval, and risk classification, to maintain optimal credit processes.
  • Collaborate closely with business segment leaders, sales teams, and customer operations to optimize credit processes and drive operational efficiency.
  • Proactively support collections efforts to mitigate risks from overdue accounts and minimize bad debt, ensuring timely payments and maintaining a healthy cash flow.
  • Implement and maintain global internal controls, ensuring team members adhere to established procedures and best practices.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and digitalization of the credit process, staying ahead of industry trends and regulatory requirements.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • No less than 7 years of experience in credit management, preferably within a Global Business Services setup.
  • At least 3 years of leadership experience, driving high-performing teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Proficiency in SAP/SAP FSCM Credit Management or DnB systems is highly desirable.
  • Experience in developing organizational scoring models would be an asset.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and make informed decisions.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate credit strategies and negotiate with stakeholders.
  • Effective leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams towards shared goals.
  • Familiarity with collections processes would be beneficial.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, particularly Excel, to analyze data and create reports.
