Job Title: Cybersecurity Professional

Our organization is committed to building a robust security ecosystem across various platforms and environments, aiming to create a safer digital world.

As part of our cybersecurity team, you will collaborate with top experts in the field to monitor, analyze, respond to, and document new and existing vulnerabilities in open-source software.

  • Identifying, fixing, and testing vulnerabilities in open-source packages
  • Tracking vulnerabilities in the Ubuntu ecosystem as they are discovered, researched, and fixed, utilizing internal tools
  • Collaborating with other teams in the community and upstream developers to exchange or develop vulnerability patches and ensure that our ecosystem includes the most robust security features
  • Auditing source code for vulnerabilities
  • Developing features and tools to help teams enhance the security of their products and contribute to the overall security of our ecosystem
What We Are Looking For:
  • You possess an in-depth understanding of common security vulnerabilities and techniques for addressing them
  • You are familiar with coordinated disclosure practices
  • You have experience with open-source development tools and methodologies
  • You possess skills in one or more of C, Python, Go, Rust, Java, Ruby, PHP, or JavaScript/TypeScript
  • You exhibit excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills
  • You can clearly communicate with the team and community members
  • Experience with Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability
  • Appreciation for diversity, politeness, and effectiveness in a multicultural, multinational organization
  • Thoughtfulness and self-motivation
