Job Description

ABOUT US:

The Security Engineering squad is a group of security engineers with the mission to enable IT Security and Information Security processes by providing specialized internal services. The squad supports security-focused teams and other business units.

As Subject Matter Experts (SME), Security Engineers are expected to manage services such as SOC solutions (SIEM, NIDS, SOAR, WAF, etc.).

THE CHALLENGE:
  1. Manage a set of security tools and services.
  2. Design, architect, and implement technical security solutions based on business needs.
  3. Perform regular maintenance to ensure optimal service health.
  4. Continuously improve security services based on updates and feedback.
  5. Monitor resources, service usage, and licenses to ensure availability.
  6. Identify opportunities for security enhancements and monitoring improvements.
  7. Serve as a primary contact for internal users and conduct internal training.
  8. Maintain compliance with relevant standards (ISO, SOX, etc.) during audits.
  9. Research and evaluate new technologies and vendors, supporting proof of concepts.
  10. Assist in product and vendor decision-making, including planning and documentation.
  11. Support team members in their tasks and maintain detailed documentation.
  12. Contribute to security governance and ensure application security principles are integrated into processes.
  13. Advise other teams on security best practices and industry standards.
ABOUT YOU:
  1. 5+ years of experience in security operations or a related role, such as System Administrator with security responsibilities.
  2. Familiarity with cloud/virtualization platforms (AWS, GCP, K8s) and automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Terraform).
  3. Understanding of security fundamentals (CIA, cryptography, etc.).
  4. Advanced scripting skills in Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.
  5. Strong network knowledge, including firewall management.
  6. Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, Elastic Stack, etc.).
  7. Good knowledge of operating systems, routers, network protocols, and security architecture.
  8. Familiarity with security tools for implementation and administration.
  9. Strong networking, analysis, and security skills.
  10. Ability to work independently, take responsibility, and self-learn.
  11. Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  12. Fluency in English.
Desired Experience:
  1. Experience in a Security Operations Center or as a Security Engineer.
  2. Proficiency in Python programming.
  3. Experience with M365 security tools (MDATP, MS Defender for Identity, etc.).
  4. Track record of delivering technical solutions in fast-paced environments.
Desired Qualifications, Education, and Certifications:
  1. Advanced coursework or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Information Technology.
  2. Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields or equivalent industry experience.
  3. Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SANS GIAC, CEH, LPIC, or others.
