Job Title: Publishing Assistant

As a publishing assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and promotion of our titles. You will be responsible for coordinating book creation, collaborating with illustrators and ghostwriters, and assisting with marketing efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project timelines and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate with freelancers and other team members to achieve project goals.
  • Review and provide feedback on drafts to ensure high-quality content.
  • Organize and maintain files and documentation related to book projects.
  • Assist with promotional efforts, including advertising and outreach activities.
  • Help strategize and execute marketing campaigns across online platforms.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience in publishing, editorial support, or project coordination in a creative field (children's publishing is a plus).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience collaborating with creatives such as illustrators and writers.
  • A self-starter with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
  • Comfortable working independently in a startup environment.
  • Familiarity with children's book content and trends is a plus.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Knowledge of publishing platforms like KDP or IngramSpark.
  • Experience with graphic design tools or basic book formatting.
  • Background in marketing or social media promotion for creative products.

Work Schedule:
