Job Title: Software Engineer in Open Source Networking

As a software engineer specializing in open source networking, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining cutting-edge technology that enables hyperscalers to integrate their innovations into a well-integrated and opinionated stack.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with top operating systems and network application technologies to drive innovation.
  • Participate in upstream development and deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Work closely with public clouds and network silicon providers to optimize Ubuntu and related applications.
  • Design and implement innovative software-defined networking experiences for data centers.
  • Write efficient, secure, and well-documented code.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and community engagement.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong academic background in Computer Science or related field.
  • Proficiency in C/C++, Rust, Python, or Golang programming languages.
  • Knowledge of Linux networking, from kernel to user space.
  • Understanding of computer architecture and protocols.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
