Job Overview

The Junior Packaging Designer plays a pivotal role in the development of product packaging by assisting in creating functional, brand-aligned, and visually appealing solutions. This role combines creativity with attention to detail, ensuring that all packaging meets established guidelines, communicates product value, and adheres to technical/production requirements.

This is a full-time position involving creative asset development, execution, and refinement. The ideal candidate should be able to work effectively in a remote setting and have excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Creative Asset Development & Execution
  • Prepare consistent print-ready artwork alongside the Compliance team, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and deadlines.
  • Adapt existing packaging designs across formats, sizes, and product lines.
  • Support the development and refinement of MaryRuth's packaging assets to ensure consistency across all touchpoints.
  • Work closely with the Product Development and Compliance teams to create new and updated packaging that aligns with regulatory requirements.
  • Share design drafts and packaging mockups for review and feedback.
  • Maintain MaryRuth's brand guidelines and ensure that all creative outputs adhere to established standards.
  • Continuously refine design templates and asset libraries for improved efficiency.
  • Ensure that Creative has appropriate access to renders within DB and Bynder.
  • Support the flow of communication to keep the team informed around new products coming down the pipeline.
  • Research trends, materials, and competitor packaging for inspiration.
