Job Title: Personnel Officer

Role Summary

As a key member of our organization, the Personnel Officer will be responsible for managing various human resources functions. This role involves ensuring a positive work environment, supporting the overall operation of the organization, and collaborating with departments to drive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment & Staffing:
    • Coordinate and manage the recruitment process for various positions within the organization.
    • Ensure staffing levels align with operational needs and maintain a strong pool of qualified candidates.
  • Employee Relations:
    • Act as a liaison between employees and management to resolve workplace issues and promote a positive working environment.
    • Support the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives to improve morale and job satisfaction.
    • Address employee grievances and disciplinary matters in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Training & Development:
    • Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into their roles.
    • Assist in the design, development, and delivery of training programs aimed at improving employee skills and knowledge.
    • Monitor employee performance and recommend professional development opportunities.
  • Payroll & Benefits Administration:
    • Assist with payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payment of wages and benefits.
    • Maintain employee records, including attendance, leave, and performance data.
    • Help administer employee benefits programs (health insurance, retirement plans, etc.).
  • Compliance & Policy Management:
    • Ensure compliance with all labor laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and legal requirements to keep organizational practices in line with best practices.
    • Support the development and enforcement of organizational policies and procedures.
  • Performance Management:
    • Support the performance review process by tracking employee performance and providing guidance to management.
    • Assist in setting up performance goals and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Health & Safety:
    • Ensure the organization maintains a safe working environment for all employees.
    • Assist with health and safety training programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in human resources, preferably in the service industry.
  • Strong understanding of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR management software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
