Financial Operations Specialist

As a Financial Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial activities of our organization. This includes handling finance queries, performing daily receipting, and bank account administration. You will also be responsible for term deposit investment and maturity communication, as well as financial reviews and reports generation.
Additional responsibilities include monthly cashflow forecast and management, year-end financial checks and accrual journals, and financial year budget preparation. You will also be responsible for issuing contribution levies to owners, organizing audits, and liaising with external auditors on audit queries.
Other tasks include onboarding new business, quarterly BAS preparation and review, yearly tax preparation and review, and management agreement processing. You will also be responsible for reviewing bot exception reports and completing tasks manually, coordinating body corporate loans, and providing explanations or relevant information to various parties.
You will attend finance meetings with external clients if required and perform miscellaneous on-charging tasks. Additionally, you will process payroll and superannuation for a building manager employed by our organization and investigate ad hoc bank deposit recalls and dishonoured payments.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Degree qualification in accounting or similar discipline;
- At least 4 years or more accounting experience;
- Budget preparation experience;
- Financial statement understanding (profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow);
- Experience reviewing financial statements and communicating the results to interested parties;
- Account reconciliation experience;
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written;
- Knowledge and previous experience in Income Tax and BAS (Desirable).
