Financial Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to manage our day-to-day financial tasks.
This role is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, processing invoices, and managing accounts payable and receivable. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Manage financial operations in Xero: reconcile accounts, process invoices, manage expenses, and maintain general ledger entries.
- Utilize Dext to capture, code, and file supplier receipts and invoices; ensure digital documents are organized and audit-ready.
- Process and track accounts payable and receivable; prepare supplier payments and chase incoming payments as needed.
- Collaborate with management to support accurate job costing: allocate materials, labour, and overhead to relevant projects.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements regularly.
- Prepare monthly financial reports: P&L, cash-flow statements, project cost summaries.
- Assist with Business Activity Statement (BAS) preparation and liaise with external accountants for GST and tax matters.
- Provide administrative support—prepare reports, compile project documents, and assist with marketing efforts (e.g., social media graphics, newsletter setup).
