Accounting Manager Job Overview

The Accounting Manager is responsible for providing high-level support to the organization's financial operations. This role involves day-to-day management of the accounting team, including superior communication, strong accounting knowledge and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Operations Management: Lead the financial close process for corporate entities, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet/income statement analysis.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee the performance of the accounting team and work with senior management on cash flow reporting.
  • Communication: Coordinate and communicate with the accounts payable team regarding accounting transactions.
  • Inventory Management: Coordinate and work with the logistics team regarding inventory accounts, shipments, and internal processes.
  • Cash Flow Management: Manage and report on all cash accounts (consolidated financial statements).
  • Policy Development: Draft policies and procedures and document all accounting principles and procedural recommendations.
  • Compliance: Manage efforts to strengthen the control environment and implement process improvements.
  • Tax Compliance: Manage third-party firms on international and tax compliance.
  • Audit Support: Play a key role in the annual financial audit, including external audits, tax provisions, and sales tax audits.

This role requires strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
