Job Title: Data Specialist

Overview of the Role

The hiring organization is seeking a professional with expertise in data management to fill a full-time position. The role entails administrative support, data entry, and database management to ensure accurate and secure data reporting for various teams.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide primary assistance to database users regarding project-level inquiries.
  • Identify issues requiring escalation to the support team and coordinate accordingly.
  • Determine client reporting needs and collaborate with the support team for new reports.
  • Ensure data points align with client requirements and collaborate with the support team for custom reports.
  • Establish data entry and reporting workflows for each project.
  • Coordinate team roles and permissions for the database system and include roster details on project documentation.
  • Provide training to users and arrange training sessions at project commencement and for new team members.
  • Conduct quality assurance activities to ensure accurate data entry and verify data completeness and accuracy.
  • Export and review reports for quality assurance and coordinate data issue resolutions with project teams and the support team.
  • Troubleshoot functional issues and provide demonstrations of database functionality to employees and clients.
Requirements
  • An associate's or bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data entry, database administration, or data support roles.
  • Experience with database systems, report generation, and data exports/imports; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team; proactive and collaborative mindset.
Technical Specifications:
  • A laptop/computer with at least 8 GB RAM.
  • A headset with a noise-canceling microphone is preferred.
  • A fast and stable internet connection (at least 30 Mbps).
