Senior Data Solutions Expert

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Solutions Expert to join our team of professionals in the field of data architecture and engineering. This role requires a deep understanding of modern data stacks, ETL/ELT, data warehouses/lakes, data science, and data applications.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in presenting technical information to both technical and executive audiences. They will also possess hands-on expertise with SQL and proficiency in Python.

Responsibilities:
  • Present technology vision to executives and technical contributors at prospects and customers
  • Work closely with prospects and customers to demonstrate and communicate the value of technology throughout the sales cycle, from demo to proof of concept to design and implementation
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies and vendors and how to position them
  • Collaborate with product management, engineering, and marketing teams to continuously improve products and marketing strategies
  • Establish trust with the technical audience on the customer side and advocate for their needs
Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience working in a customer-facing sales engineering role
  • Strong competency in modern data stacks, ETL/ELT, data warehouse/lake, data science, and data applications
  • Excellent presentation skills to both technical and executive audiences
  • Hands-on expertise with SQL (Python knowledge an asset)
Preferred Skills:
  • Data Science knowledge and experience
  • University degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related fields, or equivalent experience
  • Software development experience with Java, Spark, and other scripting languages
  • Extensive knowledge of large-scale database technology and cloud data platforms
  • Experience selling data and/or analytics software to enterprise customers
