Job Overview

The role of Tax Compliance Specialist is a crucial position that requires expertise in tax preparation, filing, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate and timely tax computations, ensuring adherence to relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • File accurate and timely tax returns, including VAT, income tax, withholding tax, and other local taxes.
  • Monitor tax deadlines and ensure timely remittance of tax payments to avoid penalties.
  • Support tax audits: assist in handling tax audits and liaising with tax authorities.
  • Gather and organize documentation to support tax positions during audits.
  • Address tax notices: ensure prompt resolution of issues raised by tax authorities.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance: monitor regulatory updates and maintain compliance with all legal requirements.
  • Maintain a calendar of filing deadlines for statutory and compliance requirements.
  • Implement internal controls and policy adherence: assist in implementing and monitoring internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and update tax and compliance-related company policies as needed.
  • Provide tax planning and advisory services.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • At least 1-3 years of experience in tax preparation, filing, and compliance.
  • Familiarity with tax systems and platforms.
  • Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel).
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Will to work full-time from Mondays to Fridays.
