Inventory Management Accountant Role

The Inventory Management Accountant will play a key part in the financial management of clients' businesses, analyzing and interpreting data to optimize inventory levels, manage costs, and boost profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cost Optimization: Oversee cost of goods sold, inventory demand planning, and assist clients with ad-hoc pricing/margin analysis.
  • New Client Onboarding: Support new client account setup and configure client accounting systems.
  • Client Relationships: Develop strong relationships with clients through timely support and guidance in regularly scheduled client check-ins and day-to-day communication.
  • Retail Operational Accounting: Manage retail operational accounting including issuing invoices, reconciling discounts and chargebacks, collecting deposits, and matching accounts receivables.
  • Reconciliation Schedules: Track and manage reconciliation schedules for prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accrued liabilities/expenses, and deferred revenue.
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable and day-to-day client/vendor questions.
  • Month-End Accounting: Support month-end accounting functions, account reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger.
  • Financial Reports: Assist the Controller in preparing financial reports and analysis for client leadership and coordinating work with external partners and investors.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 3+ years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
  • Education: Bachelor's, Associates, or Accounting Certification required.
  • ERP Systems: Proficient in ERP systems.
  • Inventory Accounting: Experience with inventory accounting required.
