Job Opportunity: Medical Coder

We are seeking an experienced Medical Coder to join our team.

About the Job:

This is a unique opportunity for a skilled medical professional to utilize their expertise in coding and billing to drive business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of medical coding and billing documents to identify claim denial or covered criteria for our automated claims editing solution.
  • Collaborate with clinical colleagues to develop and implement effective solutions to complex coding challenges.
  • Provide high-level support to customers on clinical content matters as needed.
  • Perform data entry of clinical content updates into our database, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Utilize expertise in ICD-10-CM coding conventions and guidelines to inform business rules and improve operational efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Active RN (PRC) License required.
  • Must be an AHIMA Certified Coding Specialist - Physician (CCS-P) or AAPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in CPT Coding, HCPCS, Medical Billing, Claims Denials, and/or Chart Review/Auditing.
  • Proven track record of working effectively with US health insurance payers in a claims, appeals, or coding capacity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in using MS Office Applications.
  • Able to work flexible hours, including night shifts, and adapt to remote work arrangements.
