Capital Markets Risk Analysts are in high demand as companies seek to mitigate potential losses and maximize returns on investments. To succeed in this role, one must possess a unique blend of financial acumen, analytical skills, and business expertise.

The primary objective of a Credit Analyst is to provide well-informed recommendations on loan requests by analyzing financial data, valuing collateral, and identifying potential risks. This involves creating clear and accurate reports that highlight both the strengths and weaknesses of each loan.

In this capacity, you will work closely with internal teams to ensure timely processing of loans within established service level agreements. Effective communication with clients and sales teams is also crucial in gathering necessary information for informed credit decisions.

To be successful, you should have a strong understanding of accounting rules, including US GAAP and IFRS, and be able to interpret complex financial data. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are also essential, along with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze loan requests thoroughly, focusing on financials and collateral valuation
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely loan processing
  • Communicate proactively with clients and sales teams
  • Recommend suitable loan structures based on credit requests
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • Licensed CPA
  • At least 3 years' experience in a Big 4 accounting firm or as a credit analyst in US-based commercial real estate
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot data discrepancies
  • Ability to work U.S. hours and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
