Key Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and basic repairs on power generation equipment at customer sites with minimal supervision.
  • Engage with customers in a courteous and professional manner to ensure prompt and efficient service delivery.
  • Apply specialized tools and follow documented procedures to diagnose and complete repairs, including preparing required parts and tools.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to more experienced field service technicians and supervisors for resolution.
  • Perform routine maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on power generation products in the field.
  • Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets and warranty claims via electronic forms or system input screens.
  • Maintain service vehicles and tools for cleanliness and proper operation to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and legislation.
  • Utilize electronic service tools to maintain products, diagnose issues, and interpret results to determine next steps for service resolution.
  • Create and verify customer, equipment, and technical information, capturing specific data using required service tools and following procedures to document required information in the service management system.
  • Obtain product technical issue information, utilize available resources, and elevate issues to higher levels of expertise to ensure seamless transitions and accurate response to ticket resolution.
Requirements for Success
  • Apprentice-trained power generation/electrical technician (preferred)
  • Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution
  • Current relevant electrical certification
  • Locally valid driving permit
  • Minimal level of workshop-related experience required
  • Basic knowledge of and/or experience with power generation products
  • High voltage/low voltage experience
