Financial Process Improvement Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Financial Process Improvement Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and implementing improvements to business processes with a focus on leveraging technology for increased efficiency.

The successful candidate will have experience in administering and/or implementing SaaS technologies, particularly Sage Intacct and/or Workday. They will also have significant financial technical consulting experience and a strong understanding of core financial processes.

You will work closely with our Finance and Payroll/Payment teams to identify and implement improvements to business processes. This includes collaborating with the Enterprise Applications team to ensure changes align with overall business objectives and technology strategies.

In addition, you will assist in the maintenance, configuration, and optimization of SaaS technologies to support financial operations. You will also prepare documentation to ensure stakeholders understand changes, systems, and processes related to financial technology.

As a Financial Process Improvement Specialist, you will project manage change initiatives to ensure optimal results and a thorough understanding of the work being undertaken. You will troubleshoot issues related to financial systems and implement solutions, including systemic changes to prevent recurrence.

You will actively participate in agile management processes, stay up-to-date with the latest trends in financial technology, and recommend changes to leadership.

About This Role

This is a mid-senior level contract position with a focus on Project Management and Information Technology in the Technology industry.

We're looking for someone who is able to communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and work collaboratively to achieve common goals. Strong problem-solving skills and a sense of personal accountability are essential for this role.

Additionally, you should have excellent time management and organizational skills, as well as the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. A high emotional intelligence and a sense of humor are also highly valued.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience administering and/or implementing SaaS technologies, particularly Sage Intacct and/or Workday.
  • Significant financial technical consulting experience and a strong understanding of core financial processes.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with out-of-the-box thinking to leverage flexible systems and processes.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
