Job Description

This is a remote role that will be set up as an independent contractor engagement. We are seeking a construction planner to support a growing workload across tender programming, project reviews, and reporting.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a Construction Planner/Programmer in the construction industry. They should possess strong knowledge of construction methodologies and sequencing, with on-site experience in commercial construction being desirable.

Responsibilities include developing, reviewing, and maintaining construction programs for various projects, providing programming support for tenders, project reviews, and reporting, analysing project timelines, critical paths, and dependencies to identify potential risks and solutions, preparing clear, accurate, and well-structured program reports for clients, ensuring deliverables meet deadlines and quality standards, and supporting ongoing communication and coordination with stakeholders as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Construction Planner/Programmer in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and sequencing.
  • On-site Experience in Commercial Construction will be desirable.
  • Proficiency in project programming tools/software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present timelines and reports clearly.
  • Ability to work independently, remotely, and manage time effectively.

As part of the application process, the client would like to review a couple of sample programs you have previously completed—both the PDF and the raw file. Ideally, these should showcase projects of different scales (e.g., around $20M and $50M+ in value).
