Job Summary

This role involves overseeing the administration of databases, ensuring their security, availability and optimal performance. As a key member of the IT team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining database systems and architectures.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and implement new database systems and architectures with a focus on MS SQL.
  2. Develop and maintain database standards and best practices to ensure consistency across the organization.
  3. Optimize database performance and resolve related issues in a timely manner.
  4. Maintain database security and integrity by implementing robust access controls and regular backups.
  5. Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and procedures to minimize downtime in case of system failures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in database design, development and administration.
  • Proficiency in MS SQL Server or Oracle.
  • Experience with cloud database services such as Azure.
  • Knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance tuning.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
