Job Title: Real Estate Financial Specialist


We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented financial specialist with expertise in real estate accounting and finance. This role involves managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for real estate properties, adhering to industry standards and best practices
  • Utilize software such as Appfolio for financial management, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and cash flow reports to ensure optimal financial performance
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure proper recording of transactions to prevent errors and discrepancies
  • Monitor and report on the financial performance of real estate assets to inform business decisions
  • Assist with tax preparation and ensure compliance with tax regulations to minimize risk and maximize returns
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to provide financial insights and support to drive business growth and success
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial data and ensure confidentiality

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in real estate accounting and finance
  • Proficiency in software such as Appfolio and other accounting tools
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and real estate finance
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of data
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Preferred Skills:
  • CPA certification
  • Experience with tax preparation and compliance
  • Knowledge of real estate laws and regulations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
