Key Role: Data Analyst

As a data analyst, you will play a vital role in uncovering business insights and trends by analyzing complex data sets. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify key performance indicators (KPIs), business questions, and reporting needs. Your responsibilities will include facilitating workshops and discovery sessions to gain a deeper understanding of business processes and goals.

You will translate business objectives into actionable metrics and KPIs, ensuring that these are measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART). This will involve performing exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns, anomalies, and trends. Your findings will be used to inform business decisions and drive strategic growth.

To achieve this, you will collaborate with the Power BI Developer to build and iterate on analytical models, dashboards, and data sets. Your role will also involve ensuring consistency and accuracy of key business definitions across reporting and analytics. You will support documentation of KPIs, including definitions, formulas, ownership, and rationale.

In addition, you will contribute to the development of a trusted source-of-truth semantic layer in Power BI by collaborating on metric alignment. Your expertise will be utilized to deliver compelling data storytelling and dashboard reviews to stakeholders. You will help foster a data-driven culture by empowering teams to ask better questions and explore answers using Power BI.

Furthermore, you will provide training and onboarding for teams new to self-service analytics tools. This requires a strong understanding of KPIs and performance measurement, as well as experience working with modern business intelligence tools (Power BI preferred). The ideal candidate will have proven ability to work with stakeholders to define analytical requirements and deliver insights.
