Job Description

The role of a Network Architect involves designing, implementing and maintaining the network infrastructure of an organization. This includes planning and deploying new networks, as well as upgrading and modifying existing ones to meet changing business needs.

Key responsibilities include leading the definition of standards and best-practices for technology use, developing a sound understanding of existing systems and processes, providing vision on how they may be improved and developed, and evaluating the impact of changes or additions to the environment.

Additionally, the Network Architect will participate in the evaluation and/or selection of network solutions or products, apply strong analysis, research and problem-solving skills to address critical issues, manage LAN and WAN strategy ensuring that all systems are secure, resilient and have no single points of failure, and ensure that all network and communications systems are adequately documented.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 5-10 years experience
  • Ability to work well within a team
  • Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Cisco Certified or other network certification
