Job Overview

As a clinical content specialist, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality clinical documentation. This involves analyzing clinical requirements using established best practices and collaborating with subject matter experts to ensure accurate and compliant content.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and document clinical requirements using established best practices defined by clinical management.
  • Validate clinical requirements in collaboration with subject matter experts to ensure correct coding guideline interpretations.
  • Collaborate with the content team to evaluate content requirements and confirm solution specifications meet business expectations.
  • Document content requirements to promote seamless post-release content maintenance handoffs.
  • Contribute to all user documentation and assist with end-user training activities.
  • Support quality assurance test plan validation and perform user acceptance testing of policies and/or rules.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in health information management, nursing, or other healthcare-related field required.
  • AAPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification or AHIMA CCS-P or CCS certification required.
  • 5+ years of relevant healthcare experience with at least 2 years as a payment/reimbursement or medical policy analyst, medical coder, medical claims processor, chart reviewer/auditor, or clinical editing analyst.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience with ClaimsXten solution.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and assess potential vulnerabilities.
