About the Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced tax professional to join our team in Sydney. This role offers a unique chance to work directly with a prominent accounting firm, focusing on long-term client relationships and continuous innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, review, and lodge complex tax returns, including individual, company, trust, and partnership submissions, as well as BAS/IAS and financial statements.
  • Handle intricate tax accounting tasks such as CGT, FBT, Div 7A, UPE, depreciation, rental schedules, and more.
  • Provide strategic tax advice and planning to clients.
  • Communicate effectively with the ATO and other Australian teams.
  • Lead process improvements and mentor junior staff members.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA is not required but highly valued).
  • A minimum of three years of experience working with Australian tax laws in a public accounting or tax firm setting.
Preferred Skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Australian tax law, including GST, Superannuation, CGT, FBT, and ATO dealings.
  • Strong proficiency in Xero and other tax practice tools.
  • Excellent command of Excel or Google Sheets.
