What You'll Do

As a Senior Australian Tax Accountant, you'll play a vital leadership role in managing a diverse client portfolio — from individuals to SMEs, corporations, trusts, and groups — and serve as the day-to-day operational backbone of our growing team.

  • Prepare, review, and lodge tax returns (individual, company, trust, partnership), BAS/IAS, and financial statements.
  • Handle complex tax accounting tasks (CGT, FBT, Div 7A, UPE, depreciation, rental schedules, and more).
  • Provide strategic tax advice and planning.
  • Communicate directly with the ATO and Australian teams.
  • Lead process improvements and mentor junior staff.
  • Drive client satisfaction with high-quality, timely work and proactive problem-solving.
What You Bring to the Table

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA is not required, but a plus).
  • Minimum 3 years of solid experience working with Australian tax laws in a public accounting or tax firm.

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of Australian tax law, including GST, Superannuation, CGT, FBT, and ATO dealings.
  • Strong proficiency in Xero and other tax practice tools.
  • Excellent command of Excel or Google Sheets.

Schedule & Work Arrangement

Monday to Friday

7:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM (Non-DST)
